On April 8, Katarzyna Biernacka, the data steward at UniSysCat, conducted a five-hour introductory workshop on Research Data Management (RDM) for the WS23 and WS22 PhD students of the doctoral program EC2/BIG-NSE. Her presentation sparked lively discussions and engaging group exercises, enhancing understanding and participation among the students.

RDM, which means the process of organizing, storing, preserving, and sharing data generated during research projects, is a central component of good scientific practice. Good handling of research data has become very relevant in recent years. UniSysCat takes this task very seriously and therefore employs a data steward to structure and organize the topic of RDM at UniSysCat and to support the scientists in its application. We are pleased to also support the students of EC2/BIG-NSE.

EC2/BIG-NSE is the international doctoral program closely linked to UniSysCat. It aims to inspire, initiate, and promote novel collaboration between research networks and institutions in Berlin on cutting-edge projects in chemistry and the molecular life sciences, projects that may in turn uncover new directions for future catalysis research.
