Lange Nacht der Wissenschaften in Humboldt Labor

Start Time: Saturday, July 2, 2022 05:00 pm

End Time: Saturday, July 2, 2022 11:59 pm

Humboldt Labor in Humboldtforum, Schloßplatz, 10178 Berlin

You want to know how researchers work? What drives and fascinates them? At Meet the Scientist, young researchers give short introductions to their research projects and then answer questions from the audience. You can expect insights into brain research, mathematics or chemistry - because this event is part of a joint event of the Berlin Clusters of Excellence at the Humboldt Labor.

For UniSysCat, Sabine Oldemeyer will give an insight into her work as a biophysicist. Sabine is currently doing a PostDoc in the group of Prof. Joachim Heberle at Freie Universität Berlin. Her scientific focus is on light-induced processes in retinal proteins and cryptochromes. Fot Meet the Scientist, she will explain "How a flower knows when it is time to bloom".

Humboldt Labor is a Science Museum within the Humboldtforum Berlin. It is a place of networking, discussion, exchange of ideas, interdisciplinarity and internationality, also of debate, presentation of research projects and results. In the opening exhibition, the seven Berlin Clusters of Excellence present their research.
