What do scientists actually do? At the casual "Meet the Scientist" event, you will have the opportunity to meet scientists from the excellence clusters of the Berlin University Alliance and learn more about their exciting and diverse fields of research. Join in, ask your questions, and discuss with us!

The contributing researchers come from the excellence clusters UniSysCat, SCRIPTS, NeuroCure, MATH+ and Matters of Activity. For UniSysCat, Nadia Elghobashi-Meinhardt from the group of Prof. Maria Andrea Mroginski will present her work as a computational chemist. She will give a short input about "Aus Luft wird Leben: Die Kraft der Enzyme der Natur"

American-born Nadia Elghobashi-Meinhardt studied chemistry at Stanford University. At the Freie University Berlin, she completed her doctorate in theoretical chemistry in 2005. Since then, Dr. Elghobashi-Meinhardt has been conducting research in theoretical biophysics. She is currently a research assistant at the Institute of Chemistry at the TU Berlin. Here, she models molecules at the computer. But why? And how does this work? And what actually is a molecule? Feel free to ask your questions to her :)

About the visit at "Mall Anders".

The venue is the premises of Mall Anders, a pop-up science lab located in the ground floor of the "Wilma Shoppen" center formerly known as "Wilmersdorfer Arcarden".
