Prepare for an extraordinary Science Slam! Young scientists from Berlin's Clusters of Excellence present current projects to all interested Berliners in a science slam format. They want to illustrate how their research can influence the tomorrow. They only have 15 minutes to present, and everything is allowed: costumes, props, movies, PowerPoint presentations or experimental setups. After the presentations, the audience can meet the slammers and have a few drinks with them.
For UniSysCat, Victor Nicolaus will slam about "What actually is catalysis?". As an EC2/BIG-NSE scholar, Victor is currently doing his PhD in the groups of Silke Leimkühler and Ingo Zebger.
But the joint Science Slam is not only about catalysis! Slammers from the Berlin Clusters of Excellence will present topics from diverse fields: What is intelligence? Ho can we better understand current crises in liberal democracies? Or how does our brain function?
