  • directed enzyme evolution, metabolic engineering (incl. strain engineering and evolution)
  • applications of an expanded genetic code to study protein stability, conformational dynamics, electrostatic features, multivalent binding proton and electron transfer, optical properties and folding
  • bio-expression of genetically encodable peptide-based drugs and complex bio-materials
